THE ACOUSTIC MUSIC JAM: A regularly-scheduled musicians' jam - still going strong after over 30 years
Do you play an acoustic instrument (or several)? Wish you could meet regularly and play along with other musicians? You're cordially invited to join The Acoustic Music Jam
We are a regularly-scheduled acoustic musicians' jam, still going strong after over 30 years in the northern Chicagoland suburbs (formerly known as the "Adler Jam" in Libertyville, IL). We provide a safe, comfortable, regular meeting place for musicians of all skill levels to jam and practice, and make new friends.
Instruments played at the jam: acoustic guitar, 12-string guitar, dobro/resonator guitar, 5-string banjo, mandolin, fiddle, autoharp, acoustic bass guitar, upright bass, harmonica, tin whistle, ukulele, other acoustic instruments (occasionally, octave mandolin, bouzouki, saxophone, bajo sexto, tenor banjo, and tenor guitar have also been played here).
Musical styles played at the jam: Folk, Folk-Rock, Rockabilly, Acoustic Pop, Acoustic Rock, Blues, Americana, Bluegrass, Country & Western, Old-Timey, Gospel, Song Circle
Bring your instrument(s) and join us. Musicians and singers of all skill levels (beginners, too) are welcome! There are usually a number of separate jam sessions going on in different rooms to suit different musical styles and skill levels.
The jam is usually held twice a month, on each 2nd and 4th Friday, from 8:00 PM until about 11:30 PM (sometimes runs later). The jam is housed in the Lake County area at:
Lord of Glory Lutheran Church
607 West Belvidere Road
