folkjam in the news and around the web

Folkjam.org is periodically in the news around the web. When we learn about coverage we include it here.

"Bookmark this one forever" was a great quote to start off the day from Bob Lusk's blog in Kingston, New York on this late September 2006 entry.

In mid September word about folkjam spread through a few group boards and mailing lists, including the cyberplucker's autoharp players list and the Sing Out! group on Yahoo. While most of these groups require registration to view, the Sing Out! group is open and shows the sort of feedback that we were so pleased to see.

We didn't anticipate the speed at which news on our site would spread nor how far. At just over three weeks old we were pleased to have been picked up by the folk music editor on about.com.

Hey Musicians – Wanna Jam?

I recently received the following email, and couldn't help but share:

Hey just an FYI. Here's a brand new site dedicated to bringing folks that like to jam with acoustic instruments together. Scott from KC just put this up and it's now 3 weeks old. Give it a look-see and support it if you have info on jam sessions, festivals. shows, and what not.

Thanks y'all!
