Sam Bush is the perfect ambassador for bluegrass in the 21st century. He was a founding member of the New Grass Revival and has been called a modern day Bill Monroe. Throughout his career, he has acknowledged tradition while pushing mountain music into the realms of rock, jazz, reggae, and Afro-pop. He has shared a stage with some of the biggest names in acoustic and folk music, including Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett, and David Grisman. He has inspired nationally known bands including the String Cheese Incident, Yonder Mountain String Band, and Nickel Creek. There are few performers in any genre who exude so much joy and energy in performance. To learn more about Sam Bush, visit his website at: www.sambush.com.

The evening performance will begin with the legendary Chris Hillman. He has been a member of The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Manassas, Souther, Hillman and Furay, and The Desert Rose Band. He is a journeyman sideman who wound up singing lead on 10 top-10 country smash hits, garnered three Gold Records in rock bands and co-wrote some of the cornerstone songs of the country-rock repertoire. His life in music has taken him through several of the major movements that have defined modern American pop, folk-rock, hippie psychedelia, country-rock, jazz fusion, contemporary country and modern bluegrass. He is a folkie who wound up in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. He is a living history of popular music. To learn more about Chris Hillman, visit his website at: www.chrishillman.com.
